Two small Bluetooth headsets have been revealed at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, finally giving users something which doesn't look like a daft futuristic pointy microphone attachment clamped to the side of your face.

Motorola's H5 Miniblue measures an impressively small 33 x 41mm, but talktime isn't as good as more traditionally sized devices, with only 1.5 hours between each charge. Voice is transmitted via vibrations in your ear canal which the built in microphone will pick up, meaning external noise is reduced making calls in more noisy locations less of a problem.
A claim of extended talk time "up to approximately 7.5 hours using the included portable charging base" is made by Motorola in their announcement, although quite how you'll be able to charge your earpiece whilst it's in your ear isn't particularly clear from the details provided so far.
Nokia's BH-800 meanwhile allows a talk time of up to 6 hours, with 160 hours of standby time, and will be their first headset with Bluetooth 2.0 specification and Enhanced Data Rate. Two versions of the headset will be available, with a choice of coffee black and silver white, and the optional ear loop is removable.
Both the Motorola H5 Miniblue and Nokia BH-800 headsets are due for release during 2006.
