The third version of Slim Devices' hugely popular Squeezebox is set to go on sale tomorrow, offering a number of new and improved features over it's predecessors including support for 54mbps 802.11g WiFi.

A stylish new case designed by Fred Bould is one of the most striking aspects to the latest Squeezebox, which is joined by an impressive high-resolution 320 pixel wide display which shows track details, full screen visualisations and can also scroll data from RSS news feeds pulled straight from the internet.
Internet radio streams including MP3, Ogg Vorbis and WMA are all supported, although strangely Real Audio doesn't feature in the line-up, which means you'll not be able to listen to a fair chunk of the available online stations such as those provided by the BBC.
Impressively control of the Squeezebox device isn't just limited to the included remote, but also lets you access the built-in webserver to control the Squeezebox and SlimServer by using PDA's, bluetooth enabled smartphones and even a Sony PSP.
More details about the Squeezebox V3 are available on the Slim Devices website, and the new Squeezebox should be available to buy from UK retailers in time for Christmas.
